DID ELECTRICITY RATES DETERMINE THE ELECTION? Remember when President Obama said that under his plan, electrical rates would necessarily skyrocket? And when Hillary Clinton said that she was going to put a lot of coal miners out of work?

Watching Fox News Sunday, one of the panelists pointed out that 20 of the 25 states most reliant on coal for electrical generation voted for Trump. Back in 2015, the Huffington Post published a top 10 list of the states reliant on coal for electricity. Note that nine of the ten states, including Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Michigan, were on the list.

  1. Texas
  2. Indiana
  3. Ohio
  4. Illinois
  5. Kentucky
  6. Pennsylvania
  7. West Virginia
  8. Missouri
  9. Michigan
  10. Florida
